Marc Touati holds a DEA in Currency, Finance and Banking from Paris I University (Pantheon-Sorbonne). In January 1995, he joined the economic research department of Banques Populaires. He became Chief Economist for Banque Populaire. Since 2001, he has been a lecturer at the Paris Institut d’Etudes Politiques.
From 2000 to 2007, he was a member of the Commission des Comptes et Budgets Economiques technical group. He is also a member of the Club Ulysse, founded in September 2000, which brings together economists, sociologists and historians.
